Accompanying Projects

The course "electable project" starts in the 4th semester and extends over two semesters. Students choose two topics from a pool of possible project themes and work on each one in the form of a practical project over the course of a semester under supervision. The tasks deal with typical problems in automation technology.

The following topics are offered:

  • CAN (Controller Area Network) – Bussystems
  • Mechatronic Systems - Robotics
  • Building Automation and Energy Management
  • RFID (Radio Frequency Identification)
  • PC - Interface Technology
  • DEWESoft (Universal Data Acquisition)
  • Microcontroller Technology

In addition, current topics from R&D projects are incorporated.

The projects are carried out in team work, with the team's work documented in writing in a report, and the project content summarized on a poster based on a template.

At the end of the semester, the individually prepared project presentations are delivered. The students also receive feedback on their presentation skills.
