With our cooperation partner "Impulsregion Fürstenfeld", we are offering a total of 15 study places in the field of Automation Technology in the Hartberg-Fürstenfeld region for the winter-semester 2024/2025. The majority of the courses will be held in Fürstenfeld in the first half of the programme and in Graz during the second half of the programme. This allows students to complete a significant portion of their studies close to their hometown.

No, the letter of recommendation is optional; however, the admission process has a strict point system, and a support of the employer in the form of a recommendation letter can earn important extra points.
No, typically all lectures take place on Fridays and Saturdays. In rare cases, there may be cancellations of teaching units, which will then be made up for one or two weekday evenings. In the first semester, there is a course called "Fundamentals of Physics", which always takes place in one of the evenings during the week. However, this course is not obligatory to everyone.
Yes, HTL graduates can have the majority of their courses recognised in the first semester (depending from the branch attented). The exact procedure for recognition is always explained at the start of the semester.
In general, attandance of at least 75% is compulsory for all courses. If attendance falls below this limit, one of the examination attempts will be cancelled. However, you can counteract this by providing a letter from the employer or, in case of illness, from a doctor.
There are three examination attempts. The exam date, the follow-up date and the board examination in front of a committee.
Yes, it is possible under certain conditions. However, a personal interview with the head of the degree programme is necessary. A written application must then be submitted, which must be approved by the head of the degree programme.
Professional experience is not a requirement. However, a work placement of 15 weeks must be completed during the degree programme for those, who are not employed in a relevant field during their studies.
We offer refresher courses in maths, English, descriptive geometry and chemistry for first-semester students every year before they start their studies. Applicants will receive detailed information on this after acceptance.
The tuition fee is always due before the start of the course. An email with all payment details is sent to all students at the start of the semester. Failure to pay on time may result in exclusion from the programme after several reminders. Once the tuition fee has been received, the confirmation of enrolment (for the tax office etc.) can be printed out via MyElisa.
Of course! Unfortunately, we can only allocate a limited number of study places, which is why we have to decline some applications every year. However, it is always possible to reapply.
Yes, we offer the opportunity to spend a semester abroad through programmes such as Erasmus+.
The work placement must be completed during the 6 semesters of the bachelor's degree programme. It is possible to split up the work placement or complete the 15 weeks in one go. For students who are working in a relevant field, the work placement is completed as part of their regular professional activity.
