Quality Management at FH CAMPUS 02

We offer high-quality teaching and applied research. Our quality management system, which continuously develops both the core performance delivery processes and the management and support processes to ensure their quality, forms the basis for this.

Our Quality Commitment

Through its academic programmes and continuing education offerings, as well as applied research and development, FH CAMPUS 02 contributes to the growth of learners and businesses.

Quality in teaching for FH CAMPUS 02 means providing education and training that equips graduates for the job market in an excellent manner. In a detailed model, we have defined process and outcome indicators as guidelines for our decisions and derived specific process descriptions from these. This makes the design of quality operationalisable.

All staff are responsible for the quality of their work. We measure our quality using specific key performance indicators derived from the needs of our stakeholders.

Key Elements for Ensuring and Developing Quality
Quality Assurance and Development is also based on national laws and regulations (University of Applied Sciences Act, University Quality Assurance Act, University of Applied Sciences Accreditation Ordinance) and international guidelines (European Standards and Guidelines – Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area). In this context, we fulfil our academic responsibilities by ensuring, for example, the quality of our study programmes through regular reviews involving students, graduates, and industry.
At FH CAMPUS 02, the delivery of quality in our core functions is our top priority. This applies to both teaching and applied research & development. Therefore, we use an efficient and effective quality management system to ensure and continuously develop the quality of both performance delivery processes and management and support processes. In the spirit of continuous improvement, we respond to identified opportunities by implementing appropriate measures or initiating improvement projects. Our quality management system provides not only our staff but also project partners and students with an overview of how we operate to meet our quality standards.

Certification of the Quality Management System as per § 22 HS-QSG

ISO Certification

A cornerstone of quality work at FH CAMPUS 02 is the certification according to ÖNORM ISO 9001 in its latest version, which has been in place since 2004.

Certifications

The quality management system of a university of applied sciences must be certified every seven years through an audit. In this audit, the university must demonstrate that its QM system is established in accordance with legal regulations and that it effectively supports and develops the quality of the services provided. A team of experts reviews the organisation and implementation of the QM system; the certification is carried out by an external agency.

Additionally, FH CAMPUS 02 is certified according to ISO 9001.

Accreditations for Our Degree Programmes

In Austria, higher education programmes at universities of applied sciences must be accredited before the start of the study programme in accordance with the FHG and HS-QSG. The demand and acceptance for the programme must be demonstrated, and a development team is required to design the programme and provide detailed descriptions of the courses. A team of assessors evaluates whether the programme meets the requirements as specified in the FH Accreditation Regulation by AQ Austria. The accreditation decision is made by the Board of AQ Austria.

The results of the accreditation procedures conducted since March 2012 must be published.

Annual Reports

In accordance with § 23 (2) FHG, Fachhochschulen are required to submit an annual report to the Agency for Quality Assurance and Accreditation Austria on the developments of the past reporting year. This report must include information on the audit areas defined in the HS-QSG and a presentation of changes compared to the previous report or the last accreditation application.

Graduate Surveys

To ensure the quality of our degree programmes and to support their needs-oriented development, FH CAMPUS 02 gathers information from various stakeholders. One key source of information is our annual graduate survey.
