We, CAMPUS 02 University of Applied Sciences (abbr. CAMPUS 02 UAS), Körblergasse 126, 8010 Graz, enable lecturers to record classes in Microsoft Teams on request.

The purpose of the recording is to register the content of the lecture available to those students who were unable to attend classes and for further teaching and learning purposes. You will be notified of the recording by an information banner and a red dot in the meeting window on your screen. The recording includes image, sound and chat within the web conference. If you do not want your questions to be included in the recording, you can send them to the lecturer by e-mail.

The recorded lecture is then made available to the participating students on Microsoft Teams via Microsoft Stream. Transfer to third parties is not permitted and will result in copyright consequences.

The recording is made in the legitimate interest of CAMPUS 02 to design and develop modern interactive teaching and learning scenarios pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit f General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

The duration of storage depends on the suitability of the recorded lecture for further teaching and learning purposes, but shall not exceed three years.

Zur Aufzeichnung der Online-Lehrveranstaltungen nutzen wir den Cloud Service von Microsoft „Office 365“. Das Hosting erfolgt vorwiegend innerhalb der Europäischen Union entsprechend dem europäischen Datenschutzrecht. Einzelne Dienstleistungen und technischer Support können auch außerhalb der Europäischen Union bereitgestellt werden. Einzelne Ihrer Profildaten (Namen, Passwort, PUID-Nummer) werden daher auch in den USA gespeichert.

On July 10, 2023, the European Commission adopted an adequacy decision on the Data Privacy Framework (data protection agreement between the EU and the USA). If providers in the USA certify themselves in accordance with these data protection requirements (which, among other things, restrict access to data by US authorities and provide legal protection for EU citizens), an adequate level of data protection is generally guaranteed for data transfers. Microsoft has undergone this self-certification. The data transfer can therefore be based on the adequacy decision on the Data Privacy Framework as a valid legal basis for data transfers to the USA. Furthermore, the standard contractual clauses and additional technical and organizational measures guaranteed by Microsoft also apply.
