Software management is the process of managing software applications and programs throughout their entire life cycle. This includes the planning, development, deployment, maintenance and support of software applications and programs. Software management focuses on ensuring that software fulfills its intended purpose, is reliable and secure, and can be developed and maintained cost-effectively. The Certified Software Manager certificate course consists of three modules:

For the certification "Software Manager": EUR 4.850,- (VAT-exempt according to UStG)
Certification requires the completion of three modules (EUR 1,500/module) and a company-specific practical project. The certification fee is EUR 350.
The costs for further modules after certification are EUR 750.

Requirements engineering is an important part of the software engineering process and helps developers to develop a product that meets the needs of the user or company.

Content: DevOps (software development and IT operations) is a concept that encompasses a culture and set of practices designed to facilitate collaboration between developers and IT operations to accelerate the delivery of software products and services while maintaining high quality. DevOps uses automation techniques to ensure continuity, quality and monitoring while optimizing development and operations workflows. By strengthening collaboration between developers and IT operations, companies can respond faster and more efficiently to customer requirements.

Content: In IT project management, technical projects are initiated, planned, organized and controlled, monitored and completed. It is used to manage and coordinate projects and ensure that they are completed on time, within budget and to initial requirements. It also includes the use of tools to manage resources, create project plans, monitor project schedules and create project status reports.

For certification, it is necessary to write a thesis.
As a Certified Software Manager, there are a variety of different career opportunities. Depending on your specific skills, you can work as a software engineering manager, software architect, systems analyst, software product manager, software project manager or software development manager, for example. These positions usually involve overseeing the development, maintenance and implementation of software systems as well as managing the teams responsible for them. In addition, many software management professionals are sought as consultants to organizations that develop and deploy software. With the increasing prevalence of software systems in all areas of modern life, the demand for software management professionals is expected to remain high.
