Markus Posch, a successful bachelor’s and master’s graduate of our programme Innovation Management, shares his experiences from his studies, his personal development, and how the programme has supported him on his career path in an exclusive interview. He also provides insights into his professional journey at KNAPP AG, discusses what he has particularly benefited from for his professional life, and tells us about his personal highlight.
Could you briefly introduce yourself and tell us what you are currently doing?
My name is Markus Posch and I work at KNAPP AG as a portfolio manager for Robotics & Handling Systems in the Product Management department.
How did your Innovation Management studies influence your career path?
The Innovation Management programme had a very positive impact on my career path, as well as on my personal development. It not only helped me build technical competencies but also develop important soft skills and abilities in team leadership. The part-time format of the programme was particularly valuable for me. On Fridays and Saturdays, I received input at the university of applied sciences and was able to apply what I learned directly in my professional life. During my studies, I worked as a development project manager in the R&D department at KNAPP, which allowed me to incorporate and address practical and professional topics within the programme. This led to successful outcomes and noticeably positive effects on my daily work. Overall, the programme has fostered my holistic thinking and helped me build a valuable personal network.
What are your personal highlights and memories of the studies?
A personal highlight was definitely the master’s graduation ceremony. With it came the awareness of having achieved and accomplished something valuable for myself. This experience remains particularly positive in my memory.
What advice would you give our future students?
My advice to future students is: Do it!
