CEEPUS is a mobility programme that enables students, teaching staff, and administrative staff to participate in academic exchanges within Central, Eastern, and South-Eastern Europe.

The programme offers the opportunity to spend a semester or a short stay at a partner university, gaining valuable professional, linguistic, and cultural experience.

Advantages for students:

• Participation within university networks at faculty/institute level or as a freemover is possible.
• Funded stays abroad:

1. Full scholarships are based on the cost of living and are provided by the host country.
2. Mobility grant for outgoing students from Austria: if certain requirements are met (usually over 21 days), a grant can be applied for via the OeAD.
3. Travel allowance: outgoing students from Austria can apply for a travel allowance for their arrival and departure.
4. Exemption: there is an exemption from tuition fees at the host university.
5. Duration: Scholarships are awarded for 1 to 10 months.
