FAQs

In general, members of the University of applied sciences, graduates and members of cooperation partners are entitled to borrow items and therefore also receive a library account.

Members of the University of applied sciences (students, staff members and part-time lecturers):

  • A library account is also created with the activation in C02online. The student, employee or part-time lecturer card is valid as proof in the library.

Graduates and members of cooperation partners:

  • To create a library account, we require a completed master information sheet and a current ID card. A photo ID is valid as proof in the library.

Look in our library catalogue for the particular item, get it from the shelf and bring it to the circulation desk. You may now borrow it under the conditions listed above or you can make single copies.

At the end of the loan period borrowed items must be returned to the library’s circulation desk without a reminder. Items can be placed in the book return box outside our opening times.

  • You have searched in our library catalogue for a particular item and discovered from the date in the “status” column that it is already on loan.
  • Please click on “sign in” and fill in the fields as appropriate.
  • As soon as the item has been returned, you will be notified by email.
  • Please go to the “sign in” menu in our library catalogue and enter the required data in the input fields.
  • “My account” shows your current loans, reservations, contact data, etc.
  • Under “loans” you will see the items you have currently borrowed with the due dates for return. You can now either renew selected items or extend the loan period for all your current loans. The old loan period will be cancelled and a new return date issued.
  • Please check the confirmation (status) after your renewal request!
  • In case of an incorrect displaying reload the page or try it again with a different browser.
  • The item has been requested by somebody else. Please return the item by the due date. Unfortunately it is not possible to renew the loan in this case.
  • The extension limit (four times the respective borrowing period, e.g. as a student 4 x 28 days) has been reached.

Please enquire under the Literature search & administration tab.

Literature search - Library catalogue (PRIMO)

Simple search

  • Enter the search terms (e.g. keywords, author names) in the search field and click on search.
  • The search engine assumes that you are searching for all the words you type, unless Boolean operators like OR or NOT are specified between the words and phrases. To use Boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT) within search phrases, you must enter them in uppercase letters. Otherwise, the online catalogue will consider them as part of the query.

Search strategy

  • If you enter several terms, they are automatically linked by the AND operator. Only entries that contain all search terms are displayed in the results. Example: marketing leadership
  • f you are looking for a specific phrase, enclose your search terms in quotation marks. You can combine words and phrases in your search: Example: „strategy development for“
  • If you are looking for synonymous search terms, link them with the OR operator. In order to search for titles which contain the word “social media” or the word “web”, enter the following in the search field: Example: social media OR web
  • o exclude a term from your search results, which includes certain words or phrases use the NOT Operator Example: social media NOT web
  • If you are not sure how to spell a word or if you want to simultaneously search for several word endings, use a so-called placeholders.

    ?: Replaces a single letter
Enter wom?n to search for woman and women .

    *: Replaces several letters
Enter cultur* to search for culture, cultural and culturally.
  • If you want to combine several search options in one query, put them in parenthesis: Example: Marketing ("personal" OR "hrm")

Compass-Verlag GmbH sponsors CAMPUS 02 University of Applied Sciences with its “Firmen-Compass” (“Company Compass”) - Austria’s best business database. All registered Austrian companies together with their very latest company register status with comprehensive, researched additional information are clearly presented and highly hyperlinked.

The cost-free access on offer covers the following modules: ‘Companies’, ‘Trades’, ‘Bankruptcies’ and ‘Associations’.

The database builds on the entries in the Austrian Commercial Register and is supplemented by information researched by the editorial staff, as well as by details from the Austrian Chambers of Commerce and the Austrian Register of Tenderers. Thanks to the daily updating of the commercial register data, correct real-time legal information about the companies is always available. The trade register data is also continually updated.

You can perform your researches on a PC in the library. Please contact the library staff for registration.
