The academic year starts on 1st September and ends on 31st August of the following year. The summer term begins on the Friday of the third full week of February.

The courses take place in the part-time degree programmes and the full-time bachelor's degree programme Smart Automation from the beginning or middle of September (depending on the degree programme) until mid-July. In the full-time and dual degree programmes, the courses take place between the beginning of October and the end of June.
