Europe’s best sales talents visiting FH CAMPUS 02: While all of Austria is still basking in the euphoria of the spectacular victory at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel, the ESC carousel is already turning again – but with a completely different tune: the sound of successful sales pitches.
Just two days after the musical triumph, the spotlight turned to Graz, where on 20 and 21 May the European Sales Competition – Europe’s largest sales contest for students – took place. The host was FH CAMPUS 02, which once again proved that it leads not only in education but also in hosting international events.
Unlike the musical ESC, this event was not about singing, but about negotiating, pitching, and selling – at the highest level. Around 65 participants from 26 universities across 12 countries faced challenging business cases and sales discussions with industry professionals over two days. The requirements? Strong communication skills, strategic thinking, and plenty of persuasion.
“For us as a university of applied sciences, it is a great honour to host such a prestigious competition,” says Ursula Haas-Kotzegger, Head of the Marketing & Sales Department. “Our students benefit enormously from the exchange at an international level – and Graz once again proves to be the ideal venue for business, diversity, and expertise.”
FH CAMPUS 02, known for nearly 30 years as a talent hub for marketing and sales, more than lived up to its reputation as a centre of excellence. Renowned companies such as Management Events, TeamViewer, and Gartner also took the opportunity as sponsors to experience top talent up close – and, of course, to recruit.
“The standard is impressive,” confirms Alex Bos, Sales Director at Management Events. “Over the past few years, we have hired candidates directly from the competition several times – and have never regretted it.”
This year’s victory went to Justus Liebig University Giessen, represented by Sandra Loburg, who impressed the jury with her professionalism, solution-oriented thinking, and infectious energy.
Conclusion: Austria not only rocks musically but also sells itself as a top location for international sales excellence.
