In this course, you will be provided with a practical overview of the essential fundamentals of systematic process and equipment planning in the field of handling technology with a focus on robotics, using a continuous example. Together, we will develop and implement a solution based on the theory.

Content and focus

The content of the on-site courses of this academic course is composed of the key areas listed below. Additionally, the independent preparation and review of course materials outside of class hours is part of the course.

  • Systematic solution of handling tasks
  • Structured process planning using a function chart
  • Automation and assembly-oriented design
  • Industrial robots for solving handling tasks
  • Operation and programming of industrial robots
  • Gripper technology and efficient gripper production using 3D printing
  • Practical implementation of the jointly developed solutions
