Software Engineering & Control Technology Lab

The Software Engineering and Control Technology Lab is a state-of-the-art facility designed specifically for conducting projects and courses in the areas of PLC programming, microcontroller development, process optimization, and Smart Device app development. Our lab provides a comprehensive environment for designing, testing, and implementing innovative solutions.

The lab is equipped with numerous workstations and hardware components, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) from B&R, Siemens (Simatic S300, S1500), and ABB, as well as various microcontrollers such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, and STM32 boards. In addition to computers with up-to-date development software and simulation tools, the lab also provides oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other tools for electronics development.
The software suite includes various integrated development environments (IDEs) and simulation software. This includes TIA Portal, Arduino IDE, and Visual Studio, as well as MATLAB and Simulink for simulation. App development platforms like Android Studio are available for creating mobile applications. Optimization and analysis tools such as Python with libraries like NumPy are also provided.

A fast and reliable LAN/WLAN enables the connection of devices and access to shared resources. Local and cloud-based servers are also available for data processing and storage.

The Software Engineering and Control Technology Lab is involved in numerous research and development projects and works closely with industry partners. Students have the opportunity to participate in current projects and gain practical experience.
