Corporate planning & budgeting of organisational units
Systematic budget planning and the preparation of forecasts fulfil a wide range of tasks in business practice. Employees with cost responsibility, department heads and managers are just as involved in a company's planning and budgeting process as the company management itself. They have to draw up detailed plans for their area of responsibility or organisational unit and also take responsibility for these before the company management.
Graduates of this university course will be able to create single and multi-period detailed plans in MS EXCEL, analyse the effects of the detailed plans on the overall company plan and depict different future scenarios in their plans.
Contents & focus areas
The university course ‘Corporate Planning & Budgeting of Organisational Units’ has the following content and therefore focus:
- Different operational planning processes
- Creation of detailed plans in MS EXCEL at organisational unit level
- Multi-year detailed planning in MS EXCEL
- Scenario analyses and scenario planning
- Cash flow planning
- Company budgeting and forecasting
- Effects of detailed plans on the integrated company budget
The entire course comprises 4 ECTS credits (32 units). The assessment is as follows:
- 30% written exam
- 30% online quizzes
- 40% practical project

Sie können auf Wunsch auch die weiteren Hochschulkurse „Doppelte Buchhaltung für Quereinsteiger*innen“ „Inhaltsanalyse der Bilanz und Gewinn- & Verlustrechnung“ und „Ist- und Plankostenrechnung für Angestellte mit Kostenverantwortung„ absolvieren. Sofern Sie alle erforderlichen vier Hochschulkurse des Zertifikatlehrgangs „Certified Expert der Unternehmensplanung“ absolviert haben, wird Ihnen der Titel Certified Expert der Unternehmensplanung verliehen.
