HIGH SCHOOL COURSE DOUBLE-ENTRY ACCOUNTANCY FOR CAREER CHANGERS
This university course ensures the acquisition of absolute core competences in the field of accounting. After completing this university course, graduates will be able to understand the double-entry bookkeeping system and the accounting cycle. Graduates will not only be able to post current business transactions, but also interpret and analyse the effects of these postings on the balance sheet and income statement items.

The university course ‘Double-entry bookkeeping for career changers’ has the following content and focus:
- Systematics of double-entry bookkeeping
- Booking cycle
- Different types of profit determination
- Valuation of inventories
- Cost of sales calculation
- Special features in procurement and sales
- Effects of current postings on profit/loss and equity
The entire course comprises 4 ECTS credits (32 units). The assessment is as follows:
- 30% written exam
- 30% online quizzes
- 40% Case studies

Dieser Hochschulkurs „Doppelte Buchhaltung für Quereinsteiger*innen“ ist teil eines modular aufgebauten Weiterbildungsprogramms. Sie können auf Wunsch auch die weitere Hochschulkurse „Inhaltsanalyse der Bilanz und Gewinn- und Verlustrechnung“, „Ist- und Plankostenrechnung für Angestellte mit Kostenverantwortung“ und „Unternehmensplanung und Budgetierung von Organisationseinheiten“ absolvieren.
