CAMPUS 02 UAS), K\u00f6rblergasse 126, 8010 Graz, Austria, enable lecturers to record classes in Microsoft Teams on request.<\/p><p>The purpose of the recording is to register the content of the lecture available to those students who were unable to attend classes and for further teaching and learning purposes. You will be notified of the recording by an information banner and a red dot in the meeting window on your screen. The recording includes image, sound and chat within the web conference. If you do not want your questions to be included in the recording, you can send them to the lecturer by e-mail.<\/p><p>The recorded lecture is then made available to the participating students on Microsoft Teams via Microsoft Stream. Hosting takes place primarily within the European Union in accordance with European data protection law. Individual services and technical support may also be provided outside the European Union. Some of your profile data (name, password, PUID number) is therefore also stored in the USA.<\/p><p>On July 10, 2023, the European Commission adopted an adequacy decision on the Data Privacy Framework (data protection agreement between the EU and the USA). If providers in the USA certify themselves in accordance with these data protection requirements (which, among other things, restrict access to data by US authorities and provide legal protection for EU citizens), an adequate level of data protection is generally guaranteed for data transfers. You can check which providers are included in the list here: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dataprivacyframework.gov\/s\/participant-search\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">https:\/\/www.dataprivacyframework.gov\/s\/participant-search<\/span><\/a><\/p><p>Microsoft has undergone this self-certification. The data transfer can therefore be based on the adequacy decision on the Data Privacy Framework as a valid legal basis for data transfers to the USA. Furthermore, the standard contractual clauses and additional technical and organizational measures guaranteed by Microsoft also apply.
