AI-based tools, such as large language models (LLM) or image, sound, and video-generating models, already have usable applications across many academic fields and are evolving at a rapid pace.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As a university of applied sciences, we aim to stay current and prepare our students as best as possible for a future with AI. Here, you can learn, for instance, how AI contributes to the further development of machine learning applications.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" class=\"translation-block\">We can also provide a first sneak peek from our <strong>research project<\/strong> on the AI competencies of our teaching staff \u2013 the AI competencies of our teaching staff are generally rated as high and are not significantly related to their level of education. Our lecturers are already using a variety of different AI tools, primarily for lesson preparation and follow-up. They see challenges in training competencies for using AI for both teaching staff and students, as well as in the need for tailored assignments.
