ERASMUS application

General information

The prerequisite for participation in the mobility programme is an existing ERASMUS Agreement between your home education establishment and UAS CAMPUS 02. Find out in good time if such an agreement is in force or if the International Office of your home university can set the wheels in motion for such an agreement to be put in place, as appropriate.

Furthermore, remember that it is usually necessary to submit an application to several offices (to the Faculty Office or Degree Programme Office of your home education establishment, to the International Office of your home university and to the International Office of your host university). Please bear in mind that each individual office will have its own requirements with regards to the various documents to be provided before different deadlines

Next steps

As soon as you receive the nomination confirmation from the UAS CAMPUS 02 International Office you can apply for accommodation via the OeAD Housing Office website (i.e. the Housing Office of Österreichischer Austauschdienst – the Austrian Agency for international mobility and cooperation in education). The link to said website and further accommodation information can be found in the “Accommodation” section of our site. Make sure that you read through all of the appropriate information carefully – particularly with regards to mandatory registration with the local authorities. Consult the “Studying in Austria” section for even more practical information to help you plan your exchange study visit abroad. Please observe the conditions of entry and residence which are in force in Austria. As an ERASMUS student you will generally be a citizen of an EU or an EEA country or of Switzerland, and as such you enjoy freedom of visa and establishment. Nevertheless, if you will be staying in Austria for more than 3 months you are required to notify the competent authorities of your stay, at which point you will be given a confirmation of registration (costing 15 €). Detailed information on this topic and a comprehensive information brochure is available on the OeAD website.

Upon arrival

It is important for you to organise an appointment with the International Office of your host university prior to travelling. Upon arrival you will receive your signed Learning Agreement, a welcome pack and your student ID card. During the meeting your contact person in the International Office will present you to your Departmental Coordinator as well as to other relevant individuals and your “buddies”.

You will receive more information about induction events and other important events which may concern you.

Before the end of your stay

Don’t forget to collect your confirmation of period spent abroad* from the International Office prior to the end of your study visit. This can be issued one week prior to the end of your stay at the earliest. Provided that all of your grades appear in the system, you will receive your Transcript of Record at the same time. If this is not the case, it will be sent on to you by the International Office at a later date. If you wish to contact us and/or would like to make your best photos available to us, you can do so via our Facebook page.

*This will only be issued to you upon proof of completion of your deregistration!
