Bachelor Degree Programme Application Procedure

Would you like to be one of those forward-driving minds, a changer, a doer? Someone who is always two steps ahead of everyone else? Are you prepared to invest your time and energy in the highest possible level of training? Really? Yes? Yesssss!!! So what are you waiting for? We’d like to get to know you!

STEP 1: Application pack

Online application

The first step is for you to complete our online application form so that we can input all of your data into our system. Please print the completed form and include it in your application pack.

Application documents

There is no second chance to make a first impression! So seize the opportunity and start impressing us with your written application. To allow us to gain an overall picture of you, your background and your visions, please include the following items in your application pack:

  • Online application form
  • Curriculum vitae (in tabular form, not handwritten)
  • Copy of your proof of citizenship
  • Copy of proof of your higher education entrance qualification
  • Written letter of motivation supporting your application to our degree programme
  • Written presentation of your current job position and usability of our degree programme
  • Copy of proof of your previous professional history and/or degree programme grades to date
  • Copy of proof of any relevant further training undertaken
  • Original passport photo (4.5 x 3.5 cm) to be stuck onto the coversheet
  • A letter supporting your application written by your employer will be of an advantage

STEP 2: First review

Submission of your application pack

You can submit your application pack to us from now and at the very latest before the application deadline. It is the post mark that counts!

1st application deadline: 4th June 2010 (for the allocation of the first 30 study places)
2nd application deadline: 17th August 2010 (for the allocation of the final 8 study places)

First review
Further to receipt of your application pack we will look through the documents to make sure that nothing is missing.

Invitation to take part in the admission procedure
If your application pack is indeed complete, you will receive a written invitation to participate in the admission procedure.

STEP 3: Admission procedure

Written examination

The written examination lasts approximately 2 hours and is geared to help us test your skills, strengths and weaknesses in writing. The admission test will be held on the following dates:

9th June 2010. Further dates are to be confirmed.

Personal interview

We would also like to meet you in person, which is why we will invite you to a personal interview lasting some 20 minutes. These interviews will be held during the following periods:

From 14th to 25th June 2010 for all candidates who applied during the 1st application period.
From 23rd to 25th August 2010 for all candidates who applied during the 2nd application period.

Acceptance or non-acceptance

We will contact you in writing approximately two weeks after your interview to let you know whether you have been accepted onto the degree programme.

And how much does it cost?

Each semester students are required to pay a tuition fee of 363.36 Euros (in addition to the Austrian Students’ Union contribution of approximately 18 Euros). Students in employment are able to deduct their tuition fees from their taxes. Students who are not in employment and high school graduates are able to apply for grants – for more information, visit www.stipendium.at.
