Captains

The Captains of the Degree Programme in Automation Technology play a particularly important role in the network. Coming from successful automation sector companies,

they act as mentors and contact persons for the students.  

 

Each academic year group is allocated a Captain who, in turn, endeavours to provide students with an insight into his/her activities, to share his/her experiences with the young technologists, and to convey the principles of entrepreneurial and team spirit to them.

 

The lists below should give an insight into the possible activities and an overall picture of the Captains’ role.

 

Duties of the Captains include:

  • giving a lecture and inviting a guest speaker.
  • the organisation of a one-off Captain’s Dinner for his/her students, the theme of which is naturally the choice of the Captain.   
  • being available for students within the framework of ‘consultation sessions’ (type and number of which can vary)
  • speaker at the graduation of his/her academic year group

 

The Captains’ benefits include:

  • the possibility of assigning student projects so as to use student potential
  • having www.campus02.at as a forum at their disposal
  • direct contact and links to the students and companies that the students work for  
  • contact with other Captains
  • company presentation / advertisement in the Technical Report
