Scope of functions:
Functions are as per § 10 (3), (4) of the University of Applied Sciences Law, and particularly include:

Coordination of content of teaching sessions and examinations;

As long as there is a full-time staff body, communication to members of the teaching and research personnel regarding the manner and scope of the practice of their teaching duties, insofar as this is essential for the proper maintenance of the running of degree programmes as per the requirements of the timetable;

Granting of lectureships based on suggestions or further to hearings of the University of Applied Sciences Board;

Representation of the University of Applied Sciences Board externally, as well as the execution of decisions taken by the University of Applied Sciences Board.

Representation of teaching and R&D interests in the Council of Universities of Applied Sciences and committees dealing with education policy
